A Houghton Promotion

Mr and Mrs J Wardle, of 29, Middlecliffe cottages, Little Houghton, have just received interesting news of their son George’s promotion from the rank of sergeant to that of company sergeant major (York and Lancs).

Sergeant Major Wardle is not yet 21 years of age, and is probably the youngest warrant officer in France.
