Haulage Hand’s Death.
At a Barnsley inquest yesterday on Thomas Wistow (19), haulage hand, of George Street, Low Valley, It was stated that he was working the Houghton Main Colliery on Tuesday when some empty tubs jumped the rails and he was crushed between them and some full tubs.
A deputy said that only the previous day he told the youth to stand “man hole” when tubs were being lowered.
A verdict of Accidental death returned
