A.R.P. Recruiting

June 1939

Mexborough & Swinton Times – Friday 23 June 1939

A.R.P.—Mrs. Mary Clarkson, of Sandhill, has undertaken the duty of Recruiting Warden for the Women’s Section of A.R.P. work at Great Houghton, Billingley and Little Houghton, and is anxious to have more recruits; especially in the nursing section.

She feels there is an opportunity here, especially for women who are married and have had some experience of ambulance work, to take it up again.

When sufficient recruits are obtained a course of ambulance lectures will be arranged.
