Miner Injured

Thomas Johnson (19), miner, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Johnson, of John Street, Great Houghton, sustained serious injuries at the colliery last week.

He was knocked down by a tub, sustaining a double fracture of his left leg, a badly crushed foot and internal injuries.

He is detained at Beckett Hospital and is stated to be “very poorly.”
