The Clerk reported that be had visited the Infants’ Department of the Church England School, Great Houghton, and found that the furniture supplied for the use of the teachers was totally insufficient.
The head teacher had a desk, but it was without a cupboard. The only other article high chair.
None of the other teachings had any accommodation, whatever. The managers had been of the opinion that something ought to be done in this direction.
It was decided to purchase desks for each of the teachers.
