Death of Houghton Pit Cashier

The death occurred at Hill Crest, Little Houghton, near Barnsley, yesterday, of Mr. Joseph Holmes, aged 77 years.

He was a well known figure in the district, having been cashier at the Houghton Main Colliery for many years.

The funeral at Darfield Cemetery on Monday preceded service at Darfield Parish
