Gales and Floods.
The heavy gales last week-end have been responsible for a good deal of damage.
On Saturday morning a huge tree was uprooted and blown across the road near Cat Hill and had to be moved by a lorry.
Owing to the heavy rains the Dearne is high. The water has been part way over the road on the bridge path to Little Houghton Large tracts are under water at Darfield Bridge and the Low Valley- Broomhill road and the Darfield-Broomhill road are both impassable.
