Houghton Main Welfare, -who have an outside chance of getting Into the play-offs In the Barnsley Association League if they can got in their fixtures before the qualifying date, had a 2-l win In their re-arranged match with Lund wood W.M.C., Pater Durban. inside-left, scoring both goals.

Star of the match was Alec Kirk, who moved from halfback to take over in goal for Lundwood when their regular goalkeeper failed to turn up. It was his fine display that prevented Houghton winning by a bigger margin.
