Houghton Main Football Club’s Splendid Record

We are proud to observe that the Houghton Main Football Club still retain the premier position in the Yorkshire League.

Their record to date is: Played 10, Won  9 Lost 1

A remarkable feature is that they have not given a goal away to any opponent on their own ground.

Saturday’s match against Hook Shipyard, at low Valley, was a sweeping victory for Houghton by 4 – 0

Next Thursday’s match at Barnsley reserve, in the Cup tie is eagerly awaited
