Nelson League Games
Middlecliffe’s wonderful run in the Nelson League has focussed attention on this rather obscure little club.
It was from Middlecliffe that Leeds United secured Wilf Copping. A couple who are likely to get away are F. Copping and A. Gregory. Both have been approached by better class clubs.
Copping is a right-half with a style similar to his brothers. Gregory went to Middlecliffe from Houghton Wesleyan this turn. He is a big lad of the type most clubs are looking for. Speedy and an excellent dribbler, he has a crop of goals to his credit.
Several clubs are also interested in Pugsley of Middlecliffe.
