Relief Work

The High Street W.M.C. has, since the commencement of the coal stoppage done very valuable work towards a leaving choses distress to the medium of providing some 600 children with two meals per week.

The Club Committee undertook the organisation, and, at the outset, met with generous financial assistance from placement et cetera.

Owing to the prolonged period of the stoppage, however, outside health has fallen off somewhat, and practically the whole cost is now being borne by the Club.

The work of distribution has been willingly shouldered by the committee, to whom great credit is due.A
