Convoy Gunner

Arthur Dronfield, who lived with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Watts, of Church View, Darfield, joined the York and Lancs. Regiment three years ago, and is working on convoys as a gunner.

Recently. Mr. Watts with whom he had lived since babyhood, died. His brother Harry, who joined up four years ago, is out in the Middle East, and news of him has not been received for a long time.

Before joining the Forces the two brothers worked at Houghton Main Colliery, but prefer life in the Services. Arthur has met Jack Routledge of Middlewood Hall Lodge, Darfield, while abroad.
