Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Thompson, of High st., have received news that their son, Corpl. E. J. Thompson, has been dangerously wounded in the shoulders and back by a shell, and is now in hospital in France.

He joined the Lancashire Fusiliers in Oct., 1915, and was drafted to the Front in Feb., 1916.

He was previously employed by the Brierley Colliery Co.
