Prisoner in Japanese Hands
After a silence of eighteen months, Mr and Mrs Henry Wigley have had news that their son, Harold Wigley, is a prisoner of war in Japanese hands.
Mr and Mrs Wigley reside at Byron Street, Great Houghton. Their son, L/Cpl. Harold Wigley, was attached to the Royal Corps of Signals. He used to attend Houghton Church School, Barnsley Grammar School, and after going to college became a teacher at Pickering. He went to Malaya, and after the fall of Singapore his parents never heard of him. His mother always had faith that news would be received that he was alive.
His younger brother, Roy, who is in the R.A.S.C., is stationed in North Africa.
