Wedding: Eskritt & Tinker

Miss Hilda Tinker, who resided at Victoria Terrace, Great Houghton, was married at Darfield Parish Church on Saturday, in the presence of a large congregation, to Reginald Eskritt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eskritt of Rotherham Road, Great Houghton.

Given away by Mr. J. E. Powell, the bride was attired in white angel skin satin. Her long net veil formed a short train and she carried crimson roses and fern. Her attendants, Misses G. Eskritt, G. Tinker and M. Powell, all wore figured coral georgette epaulette sleeves, and gold cape with bands of leaves. Each carried a lizard skin bag, the gift of the bridegroom.

The best man and groomsman were Messrs. H. and S. Eskritt. A reception was held in the Miners’ Welfare Hall, Great Houghton where a large number of guests were entertained.
