Electric Lighting
“summertime” was beaten by just a short head and Houghton enjoyed the new sensation last Thursday evening when it found its streets lit by electricity for the first time.
Though its use this season will be limited, it is comforting to think that everything is in trim, and that the dark and dismal winter nights are a thing of the past.
Little Houghton will shortly enjoy the same advantages from the same source.
A secondary station is in the course of direction in Little Houghton.
