Village people and particularly those connected with Great Houghton Chapel-of-Ease, will be pleased to hear that Miss Dorothy Andrews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Andrews, 23, Rotherham Road, has been awarded the diploma of the London College of Music. She had previously won an A.L.C.M. degree.

Miss Andrews is well known in local musical circles, and took the part of “The Madonna” in the first nativity play staged at Houghton, and which was given by members of the Chapel-of-Ease last Christmas. She is a Sunday School teacher.
