Great Houghton Military Medal.

Pte. J. S. Bladen, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Bladen, Of School Street., Great Houghton, has been awarded the Military Medal for gallant Conduct and devotion to duty in August last.

He joined the colours in Oct, 1915, and was sent to the front early in 1916, and is attached to the Royal Irish Regt. (Lewis Gun section).

Prior to enlistment he was employed at Houghton Main.
