Private Stephen Joseph Briscoe

of Sandhill, has been gassed, the eyes being affected.

He joined the army in October 1915, and after serving for six months in Egypt he was drafted to France, where he is at present in hospital.

Private Briscoe was previously employed at Dearne Valley Colliery.
