Great Houghton Brothers

Private George Herbert Horseman
(York and Lancs)

whose photograph appears across joined the York and Lancashire Regiment, February 1915, at Barnsley.

He was sent to Egypt at Christmas 1916 and drafted out to France.
Private Horseman was on leave last weekend, but we are sorry to hear that he had to go to the Wharncliffe Hospital with septic poisoning and frost in his feet.

He was previously employed at the Dearne Valley Colliery.

Private William Horseman
(Scottish Borderers)

brother of Private George H Horseman, joined the Scottish Borderers in October 1915, and was dispatched to France about two months ago.
