Bombadier Howarth, nephew of Mr Edmunson, of Great Houghton.

Prior to enlistment, Bombadier Howarth was a member of the Australian Mounted Police.

As a result of wounds received whilst fighting at the Dardanelles he is incapacitated from further active service and returned to Australia on 7th January.
