Mr. E. Fisher (Middlecliffe) and Miss C. Finean (Darfield).

Miss Coral Finean, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Finean, of New Street, Darfield was married at Darfield Parish Church on Thursday to Mr. Eric Fisher, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. D. Fisher, of Middlecliffe.

The bride is in the A.T.S. and the bridegroom is a timekeeper at the Houghton Main Colliery.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a model two-piece outfit of turquoise blue crepe, with burgundy ostrich feather trimmings and burgundy hat and shoes.  She wore a pearl necklet and ear-rings, and carried cream roses and fern.

Miss Nora Royston, who attended her, wore a powder blue dress and matching jigger coat, and a felt Juliet hat to tone with veil.  She wore a spray of cream roses, and a necklet, the gift of the bridegroom.

Mr. C. Fisher was best man, and the bride’s twin brother, Colin Finean, of the R.A.F. was groomsman.

The bridegroom presented his bride with a necklet and the bride presented the bridegroom with gold cuff links.
